Director of RTM

An individual (typically a leaseholder) appointed to the board of a Right to Manage (RTM) Company. These directors are responsible for overseeing the management of their building after leaseholders have exercised their Right to Manage. Their duties include ensuring legal compliance, managing finances (e.g., service charges), overseeing property maintenance, and making decisions in the best interests of all leaseholders. While tasks may be delegated to managing agents, directors retain ultimate legal responsibility. Directors' and Officers' Liability (D&O) insurance is highly recommended.
