Simplify the TA7 Leasehold Information Form with Homey

The TA7 Leasehold Information Form is the leasehold companion to the TA6, and it's arguably even more fiddly to complete. It asks sellers to pull together details on the freeholder or management company, service charges and ground rent, buildings insurance, the sinking/reserve fund, alterations consents, subletting history, and any disputes or complaints with the landlord or managing agent — much of which lives scattered across old paperwork, emails, and service charge statements rather than in the seller's head.

Homey turns that scavenger hunt into a guided walkthrough. Sellers are prompted question by question in plain English, with clear explanations of leasehold jargon (ground rent reviews, reserve funds, deeds of variation) and conditional logic that skips sections that don't apply — for example, questions about subletting for someone who's never sublet. Answers save automatically, so the form can be picked up and finished over several sessions as documents are located.

Once complete, Homey closes the form out the way a solicitor would in person: with a secure, built-in e-signature field, so sellers (and joint leaseholders, where more than one signature is needed) can sign off directly in the app — producing a fully executed, conveyancer-ready TA7 with no printing, scanning, or posting.
