Sayinthen Vivekanantham, the visionary founder of Homey, embarked on a transformative journey from medicine to prop-tech entrepreneurship. After experiencing the complexities of approximately 25 property transactions as a part-time landlord, he recognised the fundamental flaws in the home-buying process.
Determined to address these issues, Sayinthen dedicated five years (2016–2021) to interviewing around 500 stakeholders and collaborating with various software providers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the industry's landscape and motivations.
This extensive research culminated in a strategic roadmap for Homey, a user-centred platform that streamlines property transactions by connecting estate agents, solicitors, and clients for enhanced communication and visibility. Homey automates processes, reduces delays, and provides specialised tools to expedite transactions, making conveyancing 50% faster and doubling revenue per solicitor.
